At ON•TAP Bellville, we believe in doing our part for the community.


For the past two years, we've been giving donations to the Red Cross Children's Hospital. Our doors are always open to school groups that want to use our premises to educate their learners about taps and sanitaryware, most recently, the Carel du Toit School for the Hearing Impaired visited us. We are currently in the process of donating sanitaryware to homes in underprivileged areas that were affected by ravaging fires.

ON•TAP Malmesbury's new showroom

Malmesbury is a hot spot for area development. ON•TAP saw potential in this fast growing area due to its central location and ON•TAP's already existing brand awareness. In June 2008, ON•TAP Malmesbury was founded by Angus, Eugene and Heine.

It's the first joint venture between two franchise areas, namely West Coast and Paarl. The aim of ON•TAP Malmesbury is to provide in the Malmesbury-area's pluming needs.

Due to the franchisees' previous involvement in retailing paint they have also been looking for the appropriate shop as long as 8 years ago. During the years they have built up a good understanding of the area and identified a parking problem in Malmesbury CBD that was addressed.

Build-It was launched two years ago. The franchise owners saw the opportunity to utilize Build It as their anchor tenant. Angus purchased the neighbouring stand to develop the 800m² premises comprising of 280m² Plumbing hardware , 300m² showroom and 300m² paintshop.
During this time the franchisees consulted with Peter. He gave them his valued opinion, which had a great impact on their final decision.

The advantage that ON•TAP Malmesbury had was to design and plan a building that suited their requirements: planning and decorating the showroom to all the latest trends. All of ON•TAP Malmesbury's suppliers played a critical role in the “dressing” of the showroom which enjoyed a collaboration with colours and textures from the paint suppliers as well.

A functional bathroom with star appeal

ON•TAP Plumbing Supplies recently teamed up with internationally acclaimed innovators of water design and technology, Hansgrohe, to create a tranquil bathroom environment for Danny K and Lee-Ann Liebenberg's stunning new home.

The expert advice of ON•TAP Northriding was called in to create a bathroom environment that projected the needs, wishes and dreams of Danny and Lee-Ann. The mission was to create bathrooms around the house with glamorous appeal that would leave any visitor star struck.

As you would know, the bathroom forms an integral part of every home. It's no longer just another room in the house, as the bathroom has moved into a dimension where it is a living space. And this living space is essential to give the bathroom a tranquil atmosphere in which one can unwind.

Space is very important in any bathroom. Careful steps were taken to make the most out of the available sapce. A bathroom shouldn't seem like a cluttered mess, as it's really hard to unwind in a place where you feel confined.

When the bathrooms were complete, it embodied exactly what Danny and Lee-Ann wanted. They could recognise themselves in the bathrooms, which is what creating a personal living space is all about. ON•TAP Northriding delivered excellent service and advice during the preparation of the, now complete, luxurious bathroom.

Jeeves Cosmo Six

Jeeves and ON•TAP have established a special partnership where Jeeves has especially manufactured a heated towel rail range to be sold exclusively at ON•TAP for 2009. Jeeves and ON•TAP decided to name the new range the Jeeves Cosmo Six.

These heated towel rails are being sold at a special introductory price from ON•TAP branches nationwide. This promotion will run from late July until the end of August 2009.

More about the Jeeves Cosmo Six...

The Jeeves Cosmo Six is an upgraded version of the Jeeves Model I heated towel rail, sporting six rails instead of four. The range consists of a wall-mounted and freestanding option. The freestanding Jeeves Cosmo Six provides customers with a 'mobile unit' option. The set will also come with the standard wall brackets that will allow the customer to convert the freestanding heated towel rail into a wall-mounted one.

Our fifteen minutes of fame

ON•TAP has been involved in the kykNET Droomhuis Show that will be aired on DSTV Channel 111 during July. The show will sport eight fantastic episodes, where astonishing homes will be featured and showed off. ON•TAP Alberton will make its appearance in the fourth episode (29 July 2009), so keep your eyes glued to that tele!

ON•TAP Hillcrest turns ten!

The year 1999 held a lot of critical importance: firstly, it was the end of the nineties; it was the last twelve months before the turn of a new millennium; and people were afraid of the Y2K bug's "destructive powers".

For ON•TAP Plumbing Supplies, 1999 showed much promise as it saw the opening of ON•TAP's third franchise in Hillcrest, Kwazulu-Natal.

ON•TAP Hillcrest opened their doors in 1999. Humble beginnings, with a staff membership of two partners and one shop assistant. It's been a long time since then and a lot has changed. The store moved location in 2002 to bigger premises, thus a bigger showroom could be sported, with a total current staff count of thirteen.

ON•TAP Hillcrest has come a long way, and the past ten years proved to be valuable in lessons. Integrity, asset management and service excellence play a major part in running a business like ON•TAP.

The ON•TAP Hillcrest ten year celebration was held at the Heritage Theatre in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Hillcrest. The event was celebrated with dinner, drinks and entertainment, Woodstock Remembered. The proceeds of the charity event went to Fulton School of the Deaf, Hillcrest High School and the Hillcrest Aids Center.
