ON•TAP supported World Water Day 2011 along with many environmentally conscious South Africans. World Water Day was a unique occasion to remind us that solutions are possible, but it also emphasised that it's up to each and every one of us to make the difference.

Statistically speaking, one out of two people live in a city, while city populations keep growing. The problem is, investments in infrastructure have not kept up with the increasing rate of urbanisation, resulting in unstable water management.

Reports have shown that domestic water usage takes up the largest percentage of daily water consumption. This is an alarming matter, as water is the element that supports all human, plant and animal life.
