Jeeves Cosmo Six

Jeeves and ON•TAP have established a special partnership where Jeeves has especially manufactured a heated towel rail range to be sold exclusively at ON•TAP for 2009. Jeeves and ON•TAP decided to name the new range the Jeeves Cosmo Six.

These heated towel rails are being sold at a special introductory price from ON•TAP branches nationwide. This promotion will run from late July until the end of August 2009.

The Jeeves Cosmo Six is an upgraded version of the Jeeves Model I heated towel rail, sporting six rails instead of four. The range consists of a wall-mounted and freestanding option. The freestanding Jeeves Cosmo Six provides customers with a 'mobile unit' option. The set will also come with the standard wall brackets that will allow the customer to convert the freestanding heated towel rail into a wall-mounted one.

Our fifteen minutes of fame

ON•TAP has been involved in the kykNET Droomhuis Show that will be aired on DSTV Channel 111 during July. The show will sport eight fantastic episodes, where astonishing homes will be featured and showed off. ON•TAP Alberton will make its appearance in the fourth episode (29 July 2009), so keep your eyes glued to that tele!

ON•TAP Hillcrest turns ten!

The year 1999 held a lot of critical importance: firstly, it was the end of the nineties; it was the last twelve months before the turn of a new millennium; and people were afraid of the Y2K bug's "destructive powers".

For ON•TAP Plumbing Supplies, 1999 showed much promise as it saw the opening of ON•TAP's third franchise in Hillcrest, Kwazulu-Natal.

ON•TAP Hillcrest opened their doors in 1999. Humble beginnings, with a staff membership of two partners and one shop assistant. It's been a long time since then and a lot has changed. The store moved location in 2002 to bigger premises, thus a bigger showroom could be sported, with a total current staff count of thirteen.

ON•TAP Hillcrest has come a long way, and the past ten years proved to be valuable in lessons. Integrity, asset management and service excellence play a major part in running a business like ON•TAP.

The ON•TAP Hillcrest ten year celebration was held at the Heritage Theatre in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Hillcrest. The event was celebrated with dinner, drinks and entertainment, Woodstock Remembered. The proceeds of the charity event went to Fulton School of the Deaf, Hillcrest High School and the Hillcrest Aids Center.

ON•TAP Paarl has a new Showroom

ON•TAP Paarl has recently revamped their showroom as means to celebrate their sixth birthday on 1 May 2009. The new state-of-the-art ON•TAP Paarl showroom is one worth a visit. The bright colours of the display are eye-catching and its minimalist touch echoes a modern feel that complements the atmosphere of ON•TAP Paarl.

ON•TAP goes to Germany

ON•TAP recently visited the The International Sanitary and Heating Exhibition that was held in Frankfurt during March 2009. The eco-friendly theme was dubbed Blue Responsibility.

Designers usually go all-out with various basin mixer features and Hansgrohe raised the bar by introducing partially white-coated ones. These basin mixers appear to be one with the ceramic basin. Well-being extensions to bathroom lines were evident in a display where a series of hot tubs and saunas were integrated into a conscious space. Glazing sanitary ware was a new feature that stood out, with multi-tone colours displayed on one product - silver and black were the clear favourites. A retro-line with practical touches, a few his-'n-her tweaks and cleverly placed radiators with integrated mirrors created an outstanding design where the bathroom was brought into close quarters with the bedroom.

Steve Fouche from ON•TAP Northriding, commented that ISH is a must-see experience for anyone with a passion for up-and-coming bathroom trends. The exhibition was huge, with 10 exhibit halls and each one being about three times the size of the Coca-Cola Dome here in Johannesburg. You need a lot of time to browse, explains Steve.

Duane Seale from ON•TAP Stellenbosch, says that: The world’s sanitary brands at one exhibition under 'one roof' is a marvel to us humble South Africans. Upon visiting Hansgrohe in the Black Forest, one feels that the family values are still alive-and-well after 100 years. ISH 2009 has captivated all our senses.

ON•TAP at the Rotary River Festival

ON•TAP Vanderbijlpark and ON•TAP Vereeniging took out their oars and entered the Rotary River Festival's Raft Race, which took place on Saturday the 28th of March 2009.

The rules of the Raft Race included that contestants needed to create their own boats to race against other contestants. A fun-filled atmosphere surrounded the event.

ON•TAP Vereeniging finished fourth overall, and ON•TAP Vanderbijlpark won the prize for the best raft and best support.
